Ten Days ago, Mark underwent ACL surgery at Kaiser Hospital.  Here are the Arthroscopic Photos of his successful surgery.

The circled area is where his ACL should be.  It has atrophied since the tear a couple months ago.

The surgery involves an autograft using Mark’s own Patella Tendon.  A strip of it is removed with bony ends and a hole is drilled through the knee and the graft is inserted and pinned in place with resorbing  pins.

Amazing!  Mark’s actual knee.  Now on to the rehab and physical therapy.
