The smell of roses is fading…..

On the Eve of the Football National Championship, the Ducks are poised for the undisputed title of National Champions.  Ive always had faith that the Ducks could overcome the loss of any one player,  but the loss of Carington for smoking a joint before the Rose Bowl is bad Karma and I believe in Karma.  We’ve lost three of the top players this year and the Next Man Up success we have had all year gives me hope that we can still prevail.  Carrington is just a freshmen.  Hopefully he will not make stupid mistakes when Oregon needs him in the next three years. Tonight Ill say a prayer for the keys for victory Marcus Mariota, Charles Nelson, DeForest Buckner, Chris Seisay, Keanon Lowe, Byron Marshall, Dwayne Stanford, Evan Baylis and Charles Nelson. Should they all play well, we should win.

This could be the last day to feel fantastic so while the smell of roses is still in the air,  I want to pause and remember this feeling just in case they lose.  Win or lose tomorrow,  thank you Marcus Mariotta for three years for the most exciting seasons of   college football I have ever experienced.  Rooting for the Ducks while Mark has been at Oregon has given me a special bond with him and something we will talk about for years. Especially with Mark sharing some classes with Mariotta both being human physiology majors.

And thank you Pac 12 football for some great Saturdays. Best year of college football ever.  Just saying,  look what happened this year in the Bowl Games.

USC over Nebraska in the Las Vegas Bowl
Arizona State over Duke int the Sun Bowl
UCLA over Kansas State int he Alamo Bowl
Stanford over Maryland in the Foster Farms Bowl
Oregon over Florida State in the Rose Bowl
