This last year Ive taken an Xacti HD1000 around the world,  from Kirabati to Alberta.  I am a big fan of the Xacti Series of High Def SD cams from Sanyo that record to QPIXEL H.264 at 720p and 1080i resolutions.  I decided recently that I need a second camera to make my editing more interesting so…

Who is Bob Parsons?

While renewing my domain names, I stumbled upon the blog of the CEO of GODADDY.COM. You might remember them from the mega expensive super bowl adds they use to run with the good looking girls. This guy is like on of the most successfull CEOs around. He grew up poor in Baltimore where he dropped…

We spent the weekend in San Francisco cramming fun into the last weeks of summer with the kids. This weekend was for Mia. Mia’s junior year ( the last academic year) was brutal. I can’t believe how hard she works and where she found the motivation to take 4 AP classes, while being a page…

Flyfishing the Palmer Ponds

Summer is over and I wish I fished more this year.  In retrospect,  one of the best days I had was not catching one fish–the day I spent at the Palmer Ranch in Alberta fishing for large cruising fish in shallow ponds.   The epiphany of the day was , “I think I need a small compact expandable net…

Europe 2007

Disney Cruise lines sailed the Med for the very first time this summer and being that our family is addicted to Disney Cruises we had to see Europe for the first time on a Disney Yacht.  In what turned out to be one of our best vacations ever, we sailed for 14 days, and saw…

Spring Break with Mark 2007

Snow in April!  We packed for heat and fished in rain and snow.   Mark and I took a trip to the Bidwell Ponds in Lasson County to excersize some trout over spring break.  The high point of the trip was when I accidentally lit my self on fire priming the carburator of our motorhome…

In Memory of my dad…

On  July 31st  2006,  my father passed away from complications during heart surgery to repair a regurgitating mitral valve at Kaiser Hospital in San Francisco.  He was 79 years old and had been suffering from congestive heart failure for months prior to the surgery.   He is missed  and we think of him often. In Memory…
